Default Delete a phone

Had my 2011 LS a few months now. Looked in the manuals but cant find how to delete a phone.
When I first got the car I setup my cell phone. But I could not find out how to delete a phone. So I just made changes to the old owners phone. It works with no problems but the name of the phone still shows up by the old owners name. The one thing I could not find out how to edit/change was the name of the phone. And I could not find a way to delete and start over.

Thanks

Ok, just tried everything again. Deleted the phone and started over with my name as the phone.
In the car it shows the phone as my name. Only thing that is wrong is on my IPhone. Not on the car but on my actual IPhone it still wants to call the device it is connecting to by the name of the old owner. So somehow the car is still telling the iPhone this persons name.
But cant find that persons name anywhere on the cars menu. And again deleted the phone and tried starting over.
Any of this make sense?
thanks

My suggestion would be call your nearest Lexus dealer, ask to speak to a technology service rep and I am sure he or she will be able to solve the problem in one or two sentences.

At least we've found that to the be case with the dealership where we got my wife's 2010 IS250 and my 2012 LS460. Very easy fixes provided over the phone.

There are two names for the Bluetooth. The Car Bluetooth Name and the Phone Bluetooth Name. You car's name show up in the phone and the Phone name shows up in the car. Is this what you mean?

Yes. And its just that the cars name is wrong for some reason. It still connects and works. But have changed the cars name, but phone still shows the old name.

On a 2008 LS 460:
Go to "Info"
"Phone"
"Settings"
Select the Phone you want to update
Select "Information"
Select "Change" to change the phone's name

Hope that helps
