This service special just came through, and I would like to know how necessary this is and if its even a good deal. Appreciate the feedback!

I had this done on both my IS and RX. It's a good service and well worth it. I saw my IS mileage get better after it. However the reg price at my lexus dealer in NC was 129.00 or so. At 95 bucks, I say great value and great preventative maintenance.

I am always very skeptical of these services, it's kind of like undercoating. If Lexus doesn't require it as part of maintenance then I wouldn't do it. Of course it probably won't hurt......except in your wallet.

I guess it depends on what they do and how they do it. I'm sceptical bout the "combustion chamber" comment, and a "power charge fuel system treatment" could just be a can of Techron ($7.00) dumped in the fuel tank.

At this point, I think I will just pass unless I can get some strong supporting evidence to proceed.

Thanks!

Agreed. At first I thought it might be an April Fool's joke.
But if not I'd think a can of Techron or Sea Foam will do the same thing.
