Even 25% in the front windows look very dark.
Is it because of the black interior?
Interior color is one of the main factors on how tint appears on the car..bright interior you can count on dropping at least 10% more to compensate. .been there done that
The Z06 has 15% sides and back and nothing on the front.. Can barely see out at night when their are no street lights..LOL
Police have yet to stop me for it but then again it's not like i am out in this car every day anyhow..
I think most of tint films are made as better vision from inside to outside but look darker from outside.
Is there any specific brand better than others for that?

Nice vett!
Yea after looking at some pictures of 15% I kinda want to go with 20% or 25% all around
I have 35% on the windshield and 5 % on everything else. Its got a slight reflective look to it, which is supposed to keep it forming turing purple. I believe its a 3m brand with "HP" as the upgrade. 4th vehicle with this setup and never been pulled over for it and I do lots of highway driving Ill post a pic once this fresh snow goes away. Looks great.

If you have light interior, I say 15%..dark go with 25%.. had my old 460 redone because that bright interior and 25% seemed like I had 50%. So put on 15% and came out perfect. Remember to subtract about 6% because factory tint on both my 460 and 600 were 94%..which makes 15% read as 9% on a tint meter and 25% is 19%..etc
+1.... and not to complicate things further, but sometimes the given % is not the true % when metered on clear, non-tinted glass. You would need to look at the specs on the manufacturer's website. This matters for those of us in states with tint laws that are enforced
I should add that factory tint is the glass UV coating, not a film. But it does have a percentage and the tint meters I have used are consistent. If you put 25% film on your car, it will read about 4 to 6% lower than film percentage. .trust me on this
The windshield and front driver's side and passenger's side windows cannot receive any aftermarket tinting. If the rear window of a vehicle is tinted, the vehicle must have outside rearview mirrors on both sides.
The law prohibits any person from driving any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied upon the windshield or side or rear windows, with certain limited exceptions.
However, legislation signed into law effective January 1, 1999, exempts from the above prohibition specified clear, colorless, and transparent material that is installed, affixed, or applied to the front driver and passenger side windows for the specific purpose of reducing ultraviolet rays. If, as, or when this material becomes torn, bubbled or otherwise worn, it must be removed or replaced.
Any windshield tint passing AS1 line is illegal. These laws are at officer discretion, so if one cop lets you slide, doesn't mean the one around the corner will
