What is your window tint level?
That's crazy... In NJ we are allowed to have private inspections; I also have LE plates which help 🤷🏻♂️
No issue IDing headlight patterns with my rear windows tinted. Most OEM tint on like SUVs in the rear is around 20%.
I would tint the windshield with a clear ceramic UV blocking tint but not a darkened tint.

Here is the Texas law on window tinting:

hope this helps any who need to know.

Hey al I have a question about factory tint. My 2011 has the lightest tint Ive ever seen. Its a joke really. My interior is parchment so its bright in there already. Now do they use film or is it in the glass? 20% is what I have on my other cars and its also the legal limit in Indians, which is conservatively enforced at best. I would like to go that level of 20% but that creates issues if its in the glass.
I just got mine old tint that I bought the car with removed and installed 5% on all 4 sides and rear.
It looks nice and definitely helps with this 108°F her in Dallas daily. My problem and I don’t mean to be off topic but my passenger front window rolls down on auto and up past half way, it reverses and goes back down.
I’m able to roll it up manually but last few inches is tapping the up button. My window was working fine before the tint job. Any ideas what that could be?
Im sorry again for going off topic.

I don't know if this works on Lexus but this is a Toyota windows switch kinda reset.
Manually put the window up and hold the switch for about 3 seconds and release.Do this on the door with problem.
My Sienna drivers window has issues and I have to do this a couple times a year.
Curious to se if this works on your car.

Front windshied 70% clear
Driver & Passenger doors 35%
Rear doors, 1/4 panels & rear windshield 20%. I keep the rear sunshade up at all times too.
I have black interior, making it appear much darker than a car w/ lighter interior. My previous RX350 had cream interior & there was a big difference compared to my LS.

LLumar/FormulaOne Stratos
-- 70% Windshield (makes a huge difference)
-- 15% on sides and rear
-- 50% on sunroof
With this film and the car's natural insulation, the car is like an ice box inside, even when it's 115 out during the Arizona summers.
