Default 08 ls 460L vibration

Hello, I'm new to Lexus ownership and have recently purchased an 08 certified LS 460 L with the air ride suspension. It's a phenomenal car, I'm now a convert to the brand. One small thing I noticed though is a slight jiggle or vibration coming to the steering will at moderate speeds. It is very dependent on the road surface, Seems to dissipate on the highway. Alignment was checked before delivery and feels fine and the tires themselves feel balanced. It's not upsetting, I'm just curious if this is something normal to the air ride suspension. Other than this the car is an absolute gem with only 35,000 miles.

Been discussed several times. There is a TSB to fix driveline vibration issues with some models..many of us have that issue. Doesn't always show up and may not be your issue. Recommend getting a road force balance on tires first..if still doing it after that.. make sure your front calipers are not sticking and maybe keeping the pad on the rotor

Ok good info. I'll start with a balancing. A little disapointing as this was a certified car and should have been caught before delivery.

Oh Well

I have been the king of vibration on this forum. Could be the balance, tire defect ( tread goes side to side as it spins or out of round), or driveline issue. I had my driveshaft replaced, wheels replaced, and tires replaced. For me I had two defective rear tires that created the vibration. I went with Michelins and its much much better but there is still a hair of vibration. I have had three dealership, Shop foreman, and a Lexus engineer fly out from LA to check the car only to find that it was the tires.

Like they say in medical school " when you hear hoof steps think horses not zebras" . start with the obvious then dive into the rare stuff.

Could also be the upper control arm bushings. There was a TSB on them too.
