Default 08 LS 600HL rattle noise behind nav screen

On occassion, I have had rattle noise coming from above the radio and behind the nav screen.
Has anyone had this same issue? It is not repeatable - hence the dealer was unable to fix it.
Solution?

Yes..there is a TSB on this. I had my rattle resolved but it requires the whole dash to come out with major surgery and replace with different clips that can handle the additional weight that the 600 leather dash has. One resolved, it like night and day for the better of course

I left it with the dealer for a week. They took it out several times and could not reproduce the sound.. Then they said that they found a rattle somewhere in the dash and fixed it.. but they did not do the TSB you mentioned.. which is a good thing because I dislike for them to pull out the entire dash.. Often, they can't put it back together well enough!

Here are the referenced TSBs:

Amy qualified Lexus Dealer should be able to do this repair without creating additional problems. You could do it yourself if you know your way around a screwdriver.

The links to PDF didn't work. Could you please repost the links? Thanks.

Try them again - they should work now.

A car past the initial warranty cannot get this covered?

I have a dashboard noise problem in my LS460L. Dealer diagnosed it as a cooling fan malfunction. This requires the Navigation screen to be pulled out and rebuilt. Yes, rebuilt, even though the system is still under warranty the dealer does not replace with a new one but rather a rebuilt one While waiting for the rebuilt to be completed I can drive the car but it seems that all systems controlled by the touch screen are, of course, not working. Dealer says it could take up to 30 days for the rebuild. It's cold in Minnesota in March, I need a working climate control system.
