Default LS 460 Mirrors 2007 Model

My old LS430 allowed me to close the mirrors when I turned off the car. My 2007 only lets me close the mirrors when I lock the car outside. Can these mirrors be reprogrammed to close when I shut my car off like my 2005 LS430 did?

why???? don't u lock your car when u get out???? lol just joking. I am not sure if that is on the custom list when you go to the dealer to have the features tailored to you. worth asking if you are at the dealer or someone else will chime in with the actual list or google it..

Actually I do but when I pull it in to my garage I dont want to lock it but I do want the mirrors to close just like the LS430 does as a standard. Why they changed that I dont know but that was the one thing I really like about the LS430.

I would like that as well for the same reason. I fold mine all of the time in hopes that they will go out before the warranty expires. hahaha

I agree I don't use it unless I need it, I wish I could do it for the steering wheel as well because that will eventually go out..

It will happen at mile 3 after the warranty...lmao. I have had two replaced..one on my previous 460 and one on my 600 so far. At $700+ a pop, they aren't cheap. I agree about the steering wheel..just another motor running at car start and stops

FWIW, I had both mirrors replaced on my LS shortly after I got it. The motors were going strong, but the backlash in the plastic gears was a different story. The mirrors had quite a bit of play.

Now I leave them out except in extreme circumstances. Wife's LX is always on Auto, though, since those stick out so much. We'll say how long those last.

Ato the OPs original question, i'm also curious to hear if this is available as I found it a very convenient feature on my 430 especially when trying to squeeze into a tight parking spot.

I just push the lock button on the door handle to fold the mirrors.

If I'm parking in my garage, I lock it with the windows down for easy access.
