120mph
DISCLAIMER: please do not try this at home!
So I never did this before with any of my cars (and most likely will not attempt it again) but really wanted to try and see what this 380hp beast could do. I was in the mood
Was somewhere in a rural area this weekend and me and my friend (with his 2012 Venza) went out for a drive to step on it a bit.
Needless to say the LS won
from a cold start the 4x4 Venza took the LS but once it hit 20-30mph the LS pulled ahead nicely leaving the Venza behind in a cloud of dust.
I only took the foot of the gas when it hit 120mph which was already too much for the road we were doing this on
(although it was a straight country road with no soul in sight it did go a bit up and down)
His Venza hit top speed at 110mph (governor) but the LS was just warming up at 120. It felt like I could easily hit max on the speedometer.
anyone take it further?
we also raced starting at 30mph and the LS took it from start.
this baby has some powa. I know, pretty reckless of me but it had to be done once . only wish I had filmed it since it was a one time deal

I went 130mph few times (the max you can go) - not proud of it.
I once had a business emergency and drove it almost an entire 150-mile trip in less than one hour and 20 minutes. I was fortunate that I only got a $133 ticket from a road mounted speeding camera and I wasn't killed in an accident or got pulled over by the police.
But going at that speed wasn't as scary as I thought it would be until obviously I looked at the speed reading. The number was scary, but the ride itself wasn't.

I felt the same way. at 80mph on the expressway the LS feels like you're crusing at 45-50 mph. big and stable. love it.

funny... i actually hit 127 (where i lost my nerve) on the way back from Charlotte this weekend i was driving on 95 south10pm or so, no traffic an i was playing around with this guy in an SL55 benz... (THAT CAR IS WICKED FAST) me doin 120+ an he left me like i was standing still... the ride was super smooth.. i dont plan on trying anything so foolish again..(til next month on a closed racetrack) no real reason to be over 95 on public roads. lol (that sounds funny reading it in print) but speed is a relative thing (some people are unsafe at 45mph.)
know your limits an lets all be safe out there

I have taken the 460 110 going up a canyon, i had 95 ls in 2000 I took that thing 120 i lived in San Diego coming back from LA 3 in the morning racing an eclipse, it was even until I dropped into 3rd. every now and then I clear the carbon out the engine on the freeway (burst from 60 to 100). with that being said I do not welcome reckless driving, dodging in out of traffic and etc. but it is nice to keep the car out of granny mode when driving.

I hit it pretty often, (not trying to sound like a douche) , but iv'e hit a lil over 130 by pedaling it at the limit, lol this car can cruise comfortably at that speed (with the right tires though). With the stock 235 section tires it would not feel planted at ALL from my experiences, but with the huge continentals it felt rock solid. I often get off work very late and having some of the nicest highways, completely empty streets, and a high tech radar/laser detector, there is no issue for me to have a little fun at night. It is still very dangerous and also very illegal and I would defintely not recommend any such actions
