Default 2013 Lexus LS - LED Lighting

The new 2013 Lexus LS will have an LED lighting package which will be available.

Here's some quick video I took with my phone on the night of the reveal in San Francisco. This is of the LED taillamps, turn signals and back up lights in action. Please excuse the excitement in the background. LOL

lights look amazing. The wheels gap is horrendous. Looks like 4 times the gap we saw in the press release pics. Not understanding why the Germans make their cars looks dropped from the get go and Lexus has to go with the off road look. I was driving behind a new 7 series and 5 series the other day and they both looked dropped at stock height.

Gap is naturally high on the 600hL and regular models. It just looks worse in the angle I captured the photo in.

Haha yeah thanks. It took Lexus this long to finally get it all right...at least on the exterior LED side.

Maybe seeing it in person will change your perception?

Yeah LED's are hot. The strip fog light pattern takes getting used to.

Nope! I'm with imcandyca. Can't stand the new spindle grille look. That's one of the reasons why I got a 2012. I saw the writing on the wall last July when I ordered my car. What a shame, this direction Lexus is heading. To me Lexus is losing it's elegance.

Oh well...

i said the same thing about the GS until i went to the dealer and stood in front of it (the F-Sport) now i have one. i think the grill on the 2013 LS F-Sport is sic. i can't wait to see it up close and personal. an LS is on my to do list,,, and if i don't like the 2013 after i see it for myself,,, then i'll get the 2010 LS Sport.

Hey I agree with you, but I love my 460L. I also have the GS400 had it 12yrs and I love it too. Lexus is #1 in my book.

the DRLs are sic also,,, the way they curve towards the fender. GS DRLs are just straight. and it looks like one single light strip instead of a bunch of little lights on a strip.

I'm not real strong yet on the spindle grill on the LS either. But maybe thats because I have a '12 LS Sport Edition and am still loving pretty strong on its looks.

I liked the spindle grill on the '13 GS, and I'm a previous owner of a 2nd and 3rd Gen GS, but haven't gained an appreciation yet for the spindle grill on the LS. It wouldn't surprise me if my opinion changes over time.

The LEDs are a really nice touch...
