Do you know which wire under the hood of the ls460 that I can tap into that will give a 12v signal only when the headlight is turned on? Thanks

 

Just tap it direct to on of the fuses under the hood, its located on the passenger side. Open the fuse box and look for the light fuse. I do not recommend using a light test b/c if you test the wrong wire, like ABS your ABS light might display and it will cost you to get it off.

 

Sorry how do you tap into a fuse? I have done with wire but not fuse

 

Just take the fuse out of the fuse socket and put the wire in and put the fuse back in place. Every simple and if does not work for you, just remove it and put everything back to stock.

 

dang this is harder than I thought. The fuse is actually a micro fuse that has no leg...kind of impossible to tap into especially when it's so tiny. All wiring on the LS is so hidden too...

 

forget it..I'll just tap into the fog light wire and turn it on with headlight (on auto). When ever headlight is on, fog is on and I'll get my signal

 

What are you trying to install? I tap my DRL to the ignition fuse in the fuse box. So when the car is on, the lights come on.
