For the last several weeks, I've noticed that my accelerator clicks and rattles when I tap it. Any ideas?

 

That noise may be an indication of a serious safety risk. You, or someone with appropriate knowledge, should visually inspect that area for the presence of foreign objects or failure of the accelerator mechanism.

 

For something like that, I would definitely recommend leaving your car with the dealership. That doesn't even sound safe to drive around with.
