The brake actuator failure is a know problem with here cars and if it's at the dealer you can expect to pay $3,000 for the repair...maybe more.you can buy used actuators for around $700 and have someone else install it, but it sounds like it's a little late for that.

can anybody give me some clarification about exactly what part is failing? I believe my LS is showing symptoms of this problem. There is a business locally that sells these abs modules. Is it the abs module itself? or the piece mounted beside it with the black cylinder? i assumed this was the pump motor.
These abs models have several part numbers, does it matter which one I buy? do these modules need to be programmed at all or are they plug and play? I am a mechanic with quite a bit of experience but an unfamiliar with these brake systems.
I wish it had a normal brake booster lol.
