i'm not a fan of K&N at all.

my last two trucks had K&N filters on them, and i wont be installing them on any future car.
why?
after removing the filter and looking at the amount of ***** built up on the intake pipe... i can only imagine what got into the engine.

Strange.......I've used them for years on all my cars and never anything like you say. Clean as a whistle inside. I kept mine serviced and made sure they were installed properly, however. I think this issue is a "personal preference" issue, and there is no magic answer for everyone.
