I switched from HX MXM4 to the Primacy MXM4 in January this year in the 235/50R 18 size. I have 8,800 miles on the Primacy's and they have only worn 1/32" or slightly less. They have been the smoothest, best balancing tire I've ever had with negligible road force variation and only needing between 0 and 35 grams to balance. Very low noise and harshness, better than the HX's.

It's interesting to note that this tire was introduced in this size fairly recently. Michelin's website lists it as an OEM tire but does not say what it's used on. Mine have a bold "TPC SPEC 1457" on the outer sidewall. I believe it's a GM spec tire probably used on some Buick or Caddy car as it's V speed rated. My long experience in the tire bizz is that OEM and TPC spec tires are generally better balancing and smoother running tires than the same tire not so labeled.

They're actually more normally seen on FWD and RWD. These tires come in a variety of speed/ load. And performance does vary.

I have a 2012 AWD 460-went to the primacy-they are great: very smooth, quiet, handle well, and are easy to balance: very pleased. This tire for the LS460 just became available during the past few months.

Are you using 235/50-18? Your experience mirrors mine. I'm on stock 18's. I had one tire to balance with no weight at all. The most was only 35 grams on one of them. I wish some of our members having ride problems could experience how nice my all stock car rides, zero vibes at any speed, great steering feel, very low harshness and road noise. It was just sublime on a 1200 mile road trip last week.

Yes, using the 235/50 18 V-rated. I had the "air ride" option. Before I put on the primacy tires, the ride as very smooth...Now it's so great riders say, "wow, this car feels like it's riding on air." I give credit to the option but esp. the primacy. Very pleased with these tires.
