Default DIY glove box fix?

So, my glove box has always been saggy... now it falls open... and wont stay up. literally in the open position 24/7 (bottomed out).

Anyone got a fix? I am not prepared to spend 24000.00 at lexus on it.

Home Depot magnets? They have some slim heavy duty ones..kinda bootleg but an interim fix to keep it from opening easily

Also, look for a junked 2008-2009 LS with same interior and get a glove box off that car..it should have the newer version and install yourself

go to the dealer and complain, if there was a recall they should still honor the fix.

I was assuming he was out of 50k mile warranty and would have to fight to get this TSB fixed.

yeah, it's not a recall but a TSB, which can be difficult to have the dealer do once you're out of the 50k new car warranty.
