I have an iPad, iPhone, and Garmin Portable navi. What I like most about the Lexus system is that it's 100% integrated into the sound system. No muss or fuss and It's always there... Pretty hard to forget something that's attached

There are downsides to portable units, they are a theft item that someone might be willing to break a window to get to.

Also the size of the physical display is important to me, except for the iPod, the 8" display is MUCH larger than any GPS I have ever owned.

To each his own!

I just installed a Kenwood in-dash unit in my '09 Taco. Got it from Crutchfield.com, included all the mounting hardware, etc. Has Nav, CD, DVD, iPod, bluetooth/phone, AM-FM, Sirius/XM, backup camera, etc. Just a few hundred $$. AND you can make changes while you're rolling.

I don't see why so many people have problems. I enter an address it takes me there. It also shows traffic. I have a PS bypass so I can enter when I drive and watch movies. I have a Garmin but I have no reason to stick it to my windshield when my OEM one works fine. Yea it's not the greatest but I usually know where I am going.

I occassionally have an issue with entering a POI name. For some reason sometimes it just shows me locations 50 - 100 miles away when there are locations much closer. Most times, it works just fine. Never have an issue entering addresses. The ability to download locations through the Lexus Drivers web site as well as the ability to call for destinations through Enform that are automatically downloaded work great and are very convenient.

I also have a Garmin that I use when I travel but I would hate to have it stuck to my windshield all the time.
