Thanks. It sounds like you and I are experiencing the same problem. I'd like to know what Lexus has had to say. I brought this up with my Lexus service people, and they didn't have anything to say. I'm wondering if there is an impact of having the iPhone set up to also play music via the bluetooth, which I've done. I also had the car synced to my iPad for music. Could these connections be interfering with each other?

Hopefully Lexus will have an answer, and I'd like to be able to clue my service people into this.

Easy answer: not with the iPhone. I have a 4s and it connects fine with my 2009. But it will not transfer contacts. Don’t waste any more time trying. I tried everything. Everything. I had way too many contacts to enter them by hand. So I asked my IT guy for an old, discarded android phone (no service). He had a Galaxy 4s with a cracked screen lying around. I sync'd it to my laptops Outlook contacts and then transferred them to the LS by paring the Galaxy. I still had to download the Blue Tooth File Transfer AP for the android and use it to transfer the contacts file, but it worked. I then deleted the Galaxy phone from the LS’s phone list. Now my iPhone 4s pairs and I can use the car to dial the numbers in it. New contacts will have to be entered manually.

The hoops I had to jump thru were ridiculous. Sad for a car with so much technology.
