Wheels 101
I am close to pulling the trigger on a 2008 LS460. I have been driving an LS430 for 6 years and am sold on the quality of these vehicles.
The car I'm buying has factory rims (18 inch?) which are ok, but . . . .
My LS430 has cool chrome 19 inch rims that really dress up the car (pic attached). I have been reading some of the wheel threads on this forum but they get a little technical. I don't know much, but I know the car looks better with cool chrome rims. So, here are my uneducated questions:
1. Any chance the wheels/tires from my 2001 LS430 will fit on a 2008 LS460?
2. Assuming I can't use my old wheels, what would you recommend for the 2008? I like lots of shiny chrome as opposed to spokes and visible calipers and I don't want to turn the car into a low-rider.
3. Where to shop for rims?
Thanks for any advice.

Have you seen these? They were part of the Touring Package on the LS460L back in 2008, and you can get them in chrome or silver finish.

honestly though, if you're not willing to lower the car, an OE lexus wheel will look the best.

[QUOTE=ALeX300;6351240]in that pic is a stock 17rim. wheres the 19?
i'd suggest something like these
I typed "19" but I meant "17". I agree that the OE chromes would look fine. I'll have to keep an eye out for some, maybe on eBay. I bought the car yesterday. Here it is as is:
