My instrument cluster occasionally goes nuts: check abs, check power steering, check vsc, tach bounces, all instrument lights come on and a strange diagnostic green screen comes up on the nav screen. Any ideas? My dealer can't seem to find the issue. Replugged connectors etc

sounds like its losing ignition.. did a 460 last week w remote start someone tied a radar system to the digital ign in the car.. because its the computer that creates true ignition for the car (push to start systems) u cant tie into it under the dash.. needs to come from cig lighter or a fused circuit in the car..

ex: the radar system had a 1amp fuse..(so it actually draws half that) and it was enough to stall the car..

Have a load test done on your battery. If it's weak, that's probably the culprit.

i would have said that but he said the car already went to the dealer.. u would assume they would check the batt and charging system

No add on electronics and I'll check with my tech man tomorrow re the battery. This problem Was first noticed when braking hitting a pothole: all dash lights came on, tach and speedo zeroed (engine kept running). Did it again while breaking on a freeway detour going over reminder bumps. Lex checked all connectors and battery terminals. Still doing it but this time when I was starting car. Sounding more like battery. Thanks again

Shibumi1, I just read your first post carefully, are you a Lexus mechanic?

Based on fteiii's last post, I think you may be on the mark that it's an electronic issue (I realize its not an add-on problem).
