Thumbs up LS 460 Wheel Adapters

I am new to the forum, so I am going to be limited as to what I can post and link for the next thirty days...

For those of you who, like me, have been searching for wheel spacers to bring the wheels to the outer edge of the fenders, I have found (finally) the right vendor! There are a lot of people out there advertising on Ebay and other places that they have adapters (versus spacers - very important!!!) Virtually all of these places offer 5x120 33mm spacers, BUT these come with 12mm studs.

Since 2007, Lexus went to 14mm studs. It took me three months to find the right vendor.

Here are the issues:
  1. You need a 5x120 bolt pattern
  2. You must get 14mm studs to use the OE lug nuts. Lexus made the new LS with 14mm studs for a reason
  3. The Wheel adapters must be at least 33mm thick to make sure that the OE studs are covered.
  4. You HAVE to get hub centric and wheel centric adapters, OTHERWISE the wheels will wobble and vibrate at highway speeds. You will lose all the integrity that you wnat with a Lexus

The supplier I found is in California. Motorsport Technology Racing Division. www.motorsport-tech.com. They custom CNC machine each hub. I was really impressed with the quality. They really know what they are doing. They claim to make spacers and adapters for Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc., and I believe them.

You can all them at (909) 514-0091 and speak to Junior or Larry -- Tell them "Dean" referred you.

These take a few weeks to get since they are custom produced product, but they are worth the wait. The 33mm adapters perfectly bring the wheels to the outer edge of the fender and LOOK GREAT.

too bad they don't make 60.1mm spacers to eliminate the need for hub rings..that ish is always a hassle if you don't have one. I know there are some companies that make exact hub bore size spacers, but maybe not for Lexus...Toyota's have some cars with 5x120 and 60.1mm hubs right?

You can call and ask. I think simple spacers will be pretty cheap. I paid $140 (custom parts, machining, shipping and tracking) for a full pair of adapters, with pressed-in studs, hub & wheel centric, etc. Be careful with the spacers and make sure you still have sufficient stud length. A lot of dealers and tire places won't put anything on your car with spacers.

$140 for the pair which included shipping as well. Make sure you know what mm studs you need. These went on really well, tight with the hub centric design. Smooth. Good luck.

Hi CJITTY. Yes, these are a 60.1mm hub. Not sure what other cars use the same bore hub. These guys are very knowledgeable and will likely know the right specs for whatever car. Everyone else I talked to either did not make the adapters with a 60.1 mm hub centric design, or they offered it with a 12mm stud.

I am pretty sure that these guys will custom machine anything you want, including a spacer ring made of aluminum.

This site is actually pretty good on prices. I think they're cheaper than ichiban (sp) spacers. I got quoted $100 shipped for (2) 20mm spacers.

telmz1, i ran into problem, because the Spacers i ordered was too thick and it rubbed the fender when the suspensions travel even on stock height. Don't get 33mm thickness. My stock wheels is 18 x 7.5 so i'm gonna re-order 22mm thickness.

Hello! I'm a new member, having just bought my first Lexus. Thought I would warm up an old thread instead of making another one. Thing is, I have a set of beautiful 114.3 rims I'd like to fit to my LS460 and for that I need to use adapters. The seller says I'd have to chop down my original studs. What is the problem with that and is there a way around it? The wheels are 20x8.5 ET35. I would like to keep the adapters as thin as possible (around 15..20mm).

Thank you in advance.

Spacers scare me on this heavy azz car...the stock wheels would look much better about 5-10mm lower offset number <--=--> there is a pic of an LS on spacers with stockies, I recall seeing it before
