Default LS460 Torque Setting

I thought all Lexus/Toyota was 76ft/lbs across the board? However, I found this pdf stating its 103ft/lbs?

gosh i can't remember anymore. but i believe you can find that info in the manual? ls460 has different bolt pattern and the lug size is also bigger than other lexus passenger cars. so maybe the number is different

Wow they're looking to break off lugs with 103 ft lbs LOL. 103 nM = 76 ft/lb of torque. Unfortunately that document is wrong. I wonder how many AAA tow companies have used that number and broke off studs when replacing wheels on an LS460.

lol 103 won't break off stud, but maybe stressed or stripe. those airguns techs use at dealerships (yup, dealerships) they put up over 100ftlb easily. but it's pretty epic error though

ok, is that from manual? coz' i do remember reading it somewhere when i first got the car (forgot the number)

i don't want to say it for sure, but with larger diameter stud, it would make sense to have higher tq value. but that's my speculation

Got that from my dealer. I think it's in the manual somewhere, but I took a quick look and couldn't find it. I have it written down on a piece of paper. I asked the shop foreman when I had my wheels rotated and balanced.

Look in the owners manual chapter 6.1 Maintenance data. Specifies wheel lug nut torque to be 103 ft. lbs.

Default Manual Pages With Torque Value

Just in case it is helpful to anyone, I have attached/uploaded a few pages from the owners manual that shows the torque should be 103 foot pounds.

Is the torque of 103 ft-lbs still the same for 2013+?

I just ordered a 1/2" torque wrench 25-250 ft-lbs.

EDIT: Yes, it is the same torque.

Wheel nut torque 103 ft•lbf (140 N•m, 14.3 kgf•m). Found it on page 855 of the owner's manual (PDF version).
