Wheel Opinion - What do ya think?
Been going back and forth on wheels since I got my LS back in August. I love OEM wheels for proper fitment/balancing, etc..but my 18" wheels are in need of replacement because of chips and clearcoat issues and time for new tires. So, time to upgrade.
Thought about the 19" 5 spoke touring wheel or the 7 spoke 19" Hybrid wheel. Then I came across these Lumarai Morro's. They are specifically made for Lexus vehicles with proper offset and hub centric and use Lexus lugs as well as oem TPMS sensors. The Lexus center cap also fits perfectly according to the video link (below) They come in black, silver and chrome options..all with mirror lip.
Sizes:
- 20x8.5, 31 offset, 1.75" lip
-20x10 rear staggered option, 31 offset. 2.75" lip
I don't want to go 22s, so I think these 20s would look "almost OEM" but "fit as OEM" and look pretty good on a black LS SWB.
What do you all think? I am worried the deep stagger option in rear will make wheel look "too small".
In most cases when they take pics at the rims shop, the car just came off the lift so there is more fender gap until it settles back down to where it should be..assuming that is the case in this pic.

these only go up to 20's...the picture of the wheel on the website "looks" like a 22, esp with that low pro tire and is misleading, that's why I posted these pics on a real car. I think the black in a 20 would look to small. As I mentioned, the stagger setup would look sweet, esp in a 22 if they made it. But some deeper lip wheels in a 20 w/o a drop almost look like 18s...i dunno..maybe they can do a test fit at butler tire for me so I can decide first The wheels are about $350 each..on some websites. Perhaps some haggling @ Butler or Discount Tire is an option...to stagger or not to stagger..hmmm

since these wheels are not avail in 22, you don't think the 20 stagger with no drop will make the rear look too small? I guess since the lip is 2.75", it isn't as deep as some other setups but the look should still be on point. From the pics above, that LS looks like it has (4) 20x8.5 wheels and NOT staggered..is that how you all see it?

I have these Lumarai wheels on my GS with 19" and stagger setup. The white LS before the Butler tire has the same size for all 4 wheels - non stagger.
The Lumarai wheel looks OEM but has lip and can go stagger... uses OEM lug nuts and priced reasonable. It is a good pick for me.

that GS looks really good! No issues with vibration I assume, especially with the specific fitment for Lexus's. I think the 20" stagger with no drop on my LS will not look right. I think the non stagger setup in 20s would look ok..its either that or the 19" touring. I'm just worried about fender gap, but that LS above looks ok to me w/o a drop
I thinks TSW makes these wheels. Are they made in Europe, Japan, China or what? Does anyone know? Have not had good luck with wheels in the past from China

just an update. According to three different vendor sources, there are only three 20x8.5 wheels in the entire country and tsw des not have a production date for more wheels??! Wtf? Guess I'll be getting the 19" touring wheels afterall. Didn't want to do stagger on 20's with no drop

Too small of a rim an tooooo much tire!!! 20" or 22"!
It's a very elegant car and it would be like having a boob covered with a turtle neck!!!

man, i know i know. I'm strugglin with the choice. My stock 18 tires are runnin low and i need to decide soon. I saw the 19 touring wheels on a black LS460 the other day and the wheels look big on the car from the side, probably because the spokes go all the way to the edge of the wheel. But i do agree, the car is certainly worthy of 20's or 22's. I emailed TSW, who ultimately makes the Morro wheel above to see if there are any plans for production. I really like that look of that wheel on the LS above. My LS is not my daily driver and do a lot of road trips. I want a good mix between comfort and sport and really not trying to lose ride quality with the 22s..or attract the extra attention..even though they do look good

i think they look great for an everyday wheel
even though i really like the looks of my 22's... i'm scared to drive like i normally do in fear of damaging them...
if you drive a lot, i would stick with the 20's... just my 2 cents...

I just called and this other warehouse actually has plenty of the 20x8.5's. As much as the 22s would look nice, i really don't want to run those with my extended road trips, worry about driving around some of the busted up streets of ATL, etc.. but i want a slightly bigger wheel than stock that has OEM specific fitment..looks like these will be mine soon. May try to work a deal today. Here's another view of them..looks pretty clean to me.
