i am assuming that these items must be done within 4/50 warranty correct? If that is the case, my car is about 500 miles away from 50K...it is at the shop now for the valve spring recall, I think I need to hit up my svc advisor...so they will really just do the TSB without me complaining about something related to it? They did my glove box already..good info here

To get concise, other than valve springs we have:

Brake Squawk-Bark Type Noise L-SB-0069-09
Brake Click noise L-BR005-06
Seat bottom: L-SB-0071-09
B-pillars: L-SB-0018-08
Glove box L-NV005-07

Recommended here to avoid "wind noise" fix TSB?

jlawr,

Do you have the "LS Brake Knock/Click Noise Example" wmv file. I hear something like a water noise when I hit the break, but not sure is the click noise in the TSB. Thanks,

For the vast majority of the cars, the DIY triangle trim repair - AKA "JMcRaney Wind Noise Fix" - fixes the wind noise problems. Nothing else is required. Lexus Corp will not allow dealers to fix the cars in this manner. If you allow the dealers to work the wind noise problem they will likely apply the "Cross Wind Turbulence" fix which unequivocally offers no improvement and detracts from the appearance of the car. They may also repair the trim with a contact adhesive which will could provide only a marginal improvement and make it very difficult for you to do the DIY fix later. Or they may replace the trim pieces with new trim that will only offer marginal and temporary improvement. The DIY fix is a low risk, high quality, inexpensive, reliable and convenient solution that you should try before you try anything else. If you think this sort of repair is beyond your capabilities then consider getting it done by a collision repair business. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

You can find the DIY fix here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls46...noise-fix.html

The pictures that Helmar posted of this TSIB that was done on his car are no longer available.

Here is a link to some opinions of that "stab in the wind" by Lexus from about 18 months ago. There have been several other negative comments in this forum regarding this fix.
