Default Mark levinson amp gone?

So i have a 2005 es330 with mark levinson navi. The unit make scratchy noise for about 20 seconds after i turn the car on and then just goes out. Purchased a new pioneer dvd to replace. But no one wants to put it in as they say they would have to bypass the amp and thats upwards of $1000.00 because there saying rewire the whole unit. Very frustrating. BECAUSE I REALLY DON'T KNOW FOR SURE IF IT IS THE AMP OR THE UNIT.ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO DO?

Contact forum member Shibumi, he'll tell you all you need to know, as he owns his own shop in FL and has not many mods on his LS. Not to mention a great guy...
Good luck!

As I stated, you should find the forum member Shibumi1.
He has a thread detailing his mods.
PM him specifically and he can help you for sure!

My 2010 ISF recently started acting up and I am thinking it may be the amp. When I initially start the car, my radio will not make any sound for about 2 minutes and then it is good to go. Has anyone had similar issues? I am going to look at the connections and make sure they are good. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Lol.. Mine did this today...Extremely hot here in MS the last 4-5 days, serpentine belt sounding off too, now imagine the racket. I'll have tinnitus before the weekends out....

Default Lousy support from Mark Levinson

Another amp failure on LS460L. Certainly would expect better performance and support from both Levinson and Lexus. Over $3K to repair audio is ridiculous.

If you do a search here. There's a thread with a solution. A company that will repair it for much less. Just need to send it in. Lexus charges a lot as you've seen.

I really like my ML system, but 3k is just too dam much to repair. You could get a better system aftermarket. And then sell your old parts to pay off part of your bill. That's would be my choice if I were you. I really like keeping things factory, but......

Read the older posts in the thread guys... United Radio- $750, and I guess plus shipping. They are an authorized M.Levinson repair facility
