Default LS resale value

I have an 08 LS460 with ML/NAV package.. I am looking around trying to figure out the trade in value .. Kind of suprise that LS with similar equipment is being sold in N. Cal ranging form 42 to 46K. This is a vechicle with MSRP of 75K. So in 2 year, we are looking at a residual of 56% to 61%. YUCK!! Any other Luxury brand that hold value better?

Compared to its German and European competitors, the LS actually holds VERY GOOD residual resale value. But, then again, its always best to buy a slightly used 2-3 year old high line luxury car, because of the steep depreciation rate. All of the leases are being turned in, so there is a lot of 07 and 08's entering and flooding the market, with little demand to buy them......thus prices are driven down.
If you want to get out of your current car now, sell it YOURSELF. Do not trade it! You are looking at wholesale trade-in values. You can obtain retail values if you move it yourself.
