need help continuous beep in my 460l
i have no idea what this is.its loud ,steady, and annoying.came on at an intersection and now will not go off while the car is on.at all...can anyone help me
do you fasten your seat belts when you drive? any indicators activated on the dash that you maybe havent noticed? I had a similar situtation in a GS I owned, turned out to be a low battery in the remote. Hopefully its something simple. It may also be worth a shot to pull out the manual and see if it speaks to this situation and under what conditions it exists.
no all the time..park,drive,reverse, its always on..everything in the car works except the radio..the navi still works just wont speak..the beeping seems to be coming from the speakers and just cancels out anything else.i cant turn it down..the cd player will stil lplay cds even just wont come through the speakers
seems to be almost like an alarm of some sort but i have no idea.i tried deleting the schedualed maintenance but that didnt do anything.i was thinking about disconnecting the battery but its all pack up in the bay it doesnt look exactly easy to get to
You should look at your dash display for some indication of an alarm condition. If there is no indication on the dash display it might be some sort of defect with the audio system. You might have to remove the audio amp fuse to silence it until you can get to a dealer.

Hey bro, your amp blew out ... happened to me a few weeks ago. They have to disconnect the amp which will make the noise stop. Takes about 3-5 days for the part to be ordered ... if you are still under warranty it's free.
I bought an '07 CPO on Friday, while doing sale prep they told me that the car was making this same beeping sound and that the amp needed to be replaced. I wonder how common of a problem this is, and whether or not the new/replacement ones are any more reliable? I'm getting them to do the window / wind-noise TSB anyway so they were already going to be keeping it a few days anyway.
the amp is located under the right rear panel in the trunk. There is one bolt to take out to get the side flap off its under the loop on the right side towards the rear seat. Once that is out then the flap just comes out and the amp will be seen inside the wheel well area in the corner. There are some bolts that hold the amp down and the connectors are all on the outside wall towards the fender.
If the sound is driving you nuts, then just pull the fuse for the amp under the kick panel, its the manual its a larger fuse, I cant remember if its on the driver or passenger side, but it clearly shows it in the manual for the vehicle that will kill the power to it and stop the noise until they can get it replaced.
