Unhappy AC filter replacement

I need to replace the AC filter in my LS 2007. Is this easy for somebody like me who is mechanically challenged.
What type (brand) do I get and where can I get it easily? online or from one of the national auto shops.

Thank you

Mo Kenny

very simple, but be careful, you break the door to the filter and your ability to control the inside/outside air is gone, and getting it fixed is very expensive.

with this in mind, take the shelf in your glove box out, you just work it a bit and it slides towards you. MAKE SURE you have selected the recirc button so that door to the filter area is pulled up and away exposing the filter.

You will notice a plastic door at the back of the glove box, that slides up using both thumbs on the bottom. once you have this out, you should see the filter, if you see the door and NOT the filter then stop and turn on the ACC and hit the Recirc button so the door pulls up and away, then there is a simple tab that you push and it releases the filter. You just allow it to come up a bit and then pull towards you. It may be in your manual, take the time to read it first so you understand what is being said here. Its very easy to do and any good brand of filter from your national chain or Ebay is fine, I pay about 10-15 for them and replace it every 12 months at the most. It makes a difference.
