Is this pure BS?
I was inquiring about this car:
Hello, thanks for the interest in my car. The 2008 Lexus LS 460 is in perfect condition, both inside and out. A few words about it: clear title, no liens or loans, no recalls, accident-free, 13,100 miles, always garaged, never smoked in, still under warranty. I've also attached a copy of the CARFAX report. The price I'm looking to get for the car is $29,100 but I'm open to negotiations. Since I'm always traveling for work I will only sell it through a trusted third party, i.e. Google Checkout. But I can ship you the car at my expense and give you a pre-purchase inspection period.I'm looking for a serious buyer, so if you consider yourself one, please provide your zip code and we can discuss more. Thanks,Sam

$29,000 for a LS460 and its 2008! If that car exist,I want it! The lowest I have seen 2007 LS460's is $38,000 and if theres any lower I doubt its below $37,000 if that. This sounds unstable fellow member!!! L.G.N.M

Dont do it. Sounds like BS for sure.
I live in California and got my car from Florida...however I took a red eye all the way to Florida before I actually bought the car. I would never buy a car without actually seeing it and inspecting the hell out of it.

Whenever someone mentions they will only sell through a third party company because they are too busy, it is always a scam.
I was in the car business for years and seen these types of ads on craigslist and they were all scams. They will have the same car and write up, but use a different location all the time.

Have seen this movie before.
When I was looking for a car, I came across an ad on ebay motors. The guy gave me pretty much the same story this guy is giving to you. I asked for pictures for the car, he sent me a bunch of them. I didn't believe how clean it was. Then I asked for the VIN, he emailed me the VIN. Then I went back to the photos to realize that one of the pictures shows the car's wireless key with a label attached to it that had the VIN , but it was different from the one he had emailed me.
And by the way, he wanted to checkout using PayPal!
Total BS.

Same here,
When i was looking for a IS350 here in Illinois (Apr 08), I came across an car a 07 IS350 Loaded with only 10k miles selling for 19k. The car was listed as being in St. Louis.
I emailed the guy and he told me pay through ebay escrow, he would ship the car to me and if i didn't like the car, he would pay for return shipping.
When I asked him why he was selling the car, he wrote that it was his son's car who was killed in Iraq. He said the car reminded him of his son too much.
When I told him that was willing to drive to St Louis, pay with a Cashiers check and pickup the car. The guy stopped returning my emails.
ITS A SCAM
