Default Rough idle after oil change

Took my car into Keyes Lexus in LA yesterday for an oil change and tire rotation prior to heading cross country in a day or two. When I picked it up I noticed that the idle was rough when in gear. I was on a tight schedule and didn't have time to take it back right then. I am thinking that maybe when they washed the car they got something wet that might be causing this???

I will check the car today and see if it's stil there. Irritating to go in for something as simple as oil and tire rotation, and leave with a problem.

Also check to be sure they didn't leave a hose or something disconnected.

But before you go on a trip with it, I'd get it resolved. You could conceivably screw something up otherwise ...

I had rough idle after I changed the engine oil to 0W40, and I felt it quite noticeably in the gear stick and steering wheel.

I switched to 5W30 and the car has been acting normally for 2K miles so far.

Oil grade could be the problem but also to make sure it is not overfilled.... and I will not take it up for a long drive with such problem.

Oil level is good. They charged me for 9 quarts so I hope that's what they put in. As of right now I am thinking this was a fuel issue. I had filled up not long before taking the car in; so it may just be a coincidence that I noticed the problem after the oil change.

seemed to gradually get less noticeable, and since refueling again, sometimes I think there may still be a trace of it, sometimes it seems fine.
