is their a link shows you how to replace battery on your key? thanks!
Dealer wanted $10 for a $2.00 battery at Amazon. I can understand convenience, but that is a ridiculous margin (Since I have Amazon Prime 2 day shipping was included)
Problem - since their is a leather case surrounding the remote, I don't see how you can do step 2. I cannot figure out how to remove the remoth from the case and if it stays in the case, it won't open.
The leather case slides off easily. Just grab the key ring in one hand and the fabric loop in the other and pull the fabric loop out and down until you expose the corner where the fabric loop is and then you grasp the leather case and slide it off.

Thanks - I was able to pry it off and replace the battery.
To me expended remote batteries are like full ashtrays ........ they signal when to trade the car in for a new one!
The remotes with original batteries for my 1997 LS400 were still going after 10 years when I replaced it. I am having to replace the batteries in my 2007 LS460 remotes after 26 months. I do realize that the LS460 uses a different, higher power consuming, technology. I think I will just throw the old batteries in the ashtray.

I like that! I might try to use that with the wife when I get an itch. "Sorry, honey... these new cars have to be salvaged when the transmitter battery gets low - I can sense that point is near."
One of my remotes showed a low battery display. The other remote just went dead without any warning. I was lucky, I was at home and had my other remote. They said at the dealer, I could have held the remote up to the start stop button and it most likely would have started the car. Good to know if it happens again.
