Default How do I remove the Oil Service Light?

I hate that orange thing beating me down while I drive! I'm going to get it serviced for the love of god! How do I remove it before I take it in?

It's supposed to be in your owner's manual, you should probably check that first. I've never looked into it on the F seeing as I have it serviced at the dealership, though I'm fairly certain that they have to use the ODB to control it.

1. Make sure your trip odometer is on Trip A.
2. With the car turned off, press and hold the "Reset" button for the trip odo.
3. Foot off the brake, press the start button twice while holding the reset button and wait for it to reset.
4. Maintenance minder light will go off.
5. Turn off ignition.
6. Get your oil changed before long.

How do I remove the Oil Service Light?

I think you have to pull the whole dash out in order to remove the light.

I would leave it in and just do what Mike said!

Would that be a live chicken or a dead one?

This. If you don;t feel like removing the dash out another option is to put a piece of black duct tape over. I can;t tell on mine that it's on now.

I followed the procedure and the display in the dash indicated maintenance warning being updated, but after done the light remained on. The light I am referring to is the triangle shaped yellow colored indicator with an exclamation point inside the triangle stayed on. Does this indicated refer to something other than oil change is due?

Sounds like that is a TPMS warning light.

Thanks could well be. The day I reset the maintenance needed program was the day we got cold and now my tire pressures are all below the warning level. So it stayed on when I reset it for this reason.

I took it into my local dealer when it first came on and got hassled for not having them change my oil. I have used another Lexus dealer, Sewell, because they do not hassle you. I also used Firestone to do the last oil change. I use a synthetic and did gert out of my hassle dealer that 10k miles was their recommended interval with a true synthetic.
