As far as the look of the LWB vs. the SWB, it is purely subjective. The LWB can look too cumbersome to some, while the SWB can look too nimble to others.

Go with what looks best to you.

my vote is LWB... I'm so glad they finally offer LWB for Lexus!

I chose the LWB over the SWB just because the touring package wasn't available on the SWB. The touring package of course adds larger brakes, 19" wheels and air suspension.

The air suspension is a requirement.

The LWB is definitely smoother than the SWB. No doubt the air suspension is sweet. But don't go into it thinking honda vs. lexus gains in smoothness... We're talking fractions at this point. That said, I just couldn't justify the additional cost for a well equipped (and equally used) LWB. I was always looking at 7K - 10K above... MY SWB is still worlds apart from any other vehicle I've driven, so I'm quite happy with the decision.

The funny thing is that I live in an old home and, after further review, the LWB wouldn't have fit in my garage .

Lastly but not least, we're not big people. We felt like our kids (granted they've only been in my LS a few times) we're a mile behind us.
