Does any one have detailed instructions on how to remov the center console and radio?
I am planning on installing a Vais Tech VML.
I didn't find much doing a search of this forum.

Thanks

that's where the service should come in.....i got instructions like that from prestigous society when i got the NAV override....contact them to see if they're willing to help you out....it definitely wasn't easy to do and without their pictures to help out i don't think i would have been able to do it on my own.....good luck

You pull out the HDD often? Why?

well theres one for the screen being blank (just nothing ever comes up, black screen) and yesterday had a car that would get all the way to where it would show the map for nav, but instead it had a box come up and say "unable to read map data" or something close to that. called tech, and they said replace the HDD for that too. its kinda the same problem. ive done like 5 or 6. its not THAT big of a problem for the LS's.

Bruceko, here's where you get what you want. You sign up for one day for $10.

Today i finally got around to trying to install my Vaistech.
I took the side panels off , console cover and ashtray no problem.
Then I got to removing the two hidden bolts up under the radio accessed up through the side panels.
I couldn't get to them.
What side bolts are they and do you use a short socket with an extension to get to them?
If I tried a long socket I couldn't get the socket over far enough to hit the bolt.because of the short access opening.

I just pulled mine out looking for a squeak and the extension is necessary.

Be careful when you remove those two radio head bolts that you do not let them drop out of the socket as it looks like it could be an issue retrieving them if they fall inside the kick panel.
