Default Coffee stain on carpet

I spilled some coffee on my carpet and took immediately to the car wash. I was there within 2 minutes. They could not get the stain out! Anyone else had this problem and does anyone have a solution? The car wash manager was amazed that he could not remove the stain.

I don't know what the car wash guy used, but I almost always have good luck with Glass Plus™ window cleaner. (Yep, you read that right!)

I use GP on carpet stains at home and in the car, and it has taken care of most "ordinary" stains ... Of course, I wouldn't expect it to remove tar or heavy grease, etc.

Spray it on the stain until it's completely damp, then use your fingertips or a small brush to work up a lather, going in all directions so you scrub every side of the carpet fibers. Then, take a dry white cloth and scrub it hard, again going in all directions. It will dry in an hour or so in most cases.

Don't use Windex™ or any other cleaner that may contain ammonia.

I'm afraid your only option is to replace the carpet. Coffee stains will not come out, at least not to a perfectionist's satisfaction (i.e., the stain may come out, but the carpet will be discolored in the process).

Thanks for the suggestions. I will give them a try. I knew vodka would have been better than coffee.

Have you try oxiclean carpet stain remover ? I haven't used them for coffee stains though, but they are usually pretty good for removing stains . . .

Home Depot carries a carpet cleaner called "FOLEX", it is the best I have used. I have tried many different carpet cleaner before, Folex is the best. I used it on my LS460, my home, everytime is sucess.

Spary lots of it on the stain until wet, work the stain out with your finger in all direction, dry the spot with paper tower.

Try it!

i know one thing that's guaranteed to work,
but i must ask you:
do you mind having a custom coffee colored interior?

What a great idea. You could call it "Cafe Latte", and tell people it's a one-off Special Edition LS, and you paid a fortune to get it.

Steam clean it. That's the best way and it will make it look brand new.

First calm down. Next, drive to the dealer. Next tell the detailer to deal with it and get it out. That is my simple solution. He will get most if not all of it out. They have all kinds of special potions and lotions that we don't have in the market. Give it a try. Good luck.

I'm constantly drinking coffee in the car.

I'm constantly spilling coffee in the car.

I've had good success with steam extractors and the professional solutions that are used with them.

I've also heard good things about Folex, but haven't tried it.
