Default Suspension rattle

When I start my car up I hear a clicking noise from the rear passenger side, when driving there is a rattling noise coming from the same area. Took it to the dealership this past saturday, they said the noise is coming from the suspension. I have to bring it back Monday so the head tech can check it out. I do have 22's and the air controller, has anyone else had this problem?

I had the same problem with my GS4. In my case it was just that I had worn out disk and also I replaced all the parts that hold the brake pads from moving. I got a kit from autozone for about 32 dollars.

They had to replace a strut, I should have it back by tomorrow...Wonder why it happened or what caused it. I was worried it was going to have something to do with my rims or air controller.

Strut has been replaced, the noise is still there. The tech said he has to put chasis ears on the car to find out where the rattle is coming from. Any ideas what may be causing this?

$390.oo to tighten the top part of the struts, They said they became loose due to the low profile on my tires and strees placed on them by the weight of my rims. Maybe its time to go back to 18' or 19's in Chicago......

Thank you for the information! My LS460L front left make some sort of noise everytime I go over a slight bump. I could not figure out why. The only thing was I've installed HID fog lights and 22" wheels. That noise was driving me up the wall until I've read your post.

I had my mechanic to look at my structs, but first he had to remove the shock damper cover. Bingo, we've found the problem! The clip holding the the damper came off and it's just bouncing in the housing everytime I go over the bump. Got that taken care of and no more noise over bumps. Thanks again!

Thats great news! was this at a Lexus dealership? How long did it take to fix it? Did you get a new clip? I have my 22's off since my dealership told me they would not cover this problem and it would likely happen it again with the 22's.

I did not go to the dealer. I took it to my mechanic, and it took only 5~10 minutes. To view the damper, just remove 3 nuts holding down the housing. Once you've removed the housing you'll be able to see the it, but be careful not to loose the small clip. My mechanic told me it will most likely happen again since I'm running on 22". I hope this will help other owners.
