Default Dash Creak Question

I have a 2008 SWB ML. Car is great with no wind noise. However, the silver trim around the nav creaks when the temp is warm or very cold and it is very annoying. Usually happens over bumps etc. but it should not happen. The fact that the car is so quiet amplifies the problem. The wood trim around the radio also makes this sound from time to time and sounds cheap. Anyone else have this issue and have they solved it? It can be cured for a time if I press really hard on the trim and reseat it with the glue or adhesive but after a bit of time it comes out again and makes noise with the give. Thoughts are appreciated. I also have a creaking noise if I push on the armreset with my leg while driving which I need to check. Never had these issues with my older LS's. Thanks.

"Sounds like" it's time for a trip to the dealer.

They must have built our cars on the same Monday after a national holiday - except 1 year apart.

Dash creak by radio area - they pulled the radio and applied the Lexus Noise Reduction Kit (LNRK - also known as felt with an adhesive backing) to the radio brackets which would rub when real cold. Creaky wood strip at bottom of radio appeared after the above fix, so I'd guess another strip of felt would cure it.

Squeaky arm rests - 3 of 4 doors had that when I drove it off the lot. They removed all four door panels and LNRK'd it. Came back much better, but I noticed this weekend that one door is starting to squeak again.

Yep - off to the dealer for you.

My dealer told me that the creaky silver Nav surround trim could not be fixed. They told me (and showed me) that they all do that. Let us know what they do for you!

Thanks all. Glad I'm not crazy. Will take it in for its normal service and have the Lexus Tech handle. I'll bring in the e-mails to show what others have had done. I can't stand that Lexus has these issues in a car of such quality. Very annoying. Very unlexus-like. Oh well. Man made things have problems.
