Hi guys, i have 04 330,there was some rattles in the navigation console so i pushed small pieces of foam inbetween the console and the dash itself ,i started to hear cracking noise that is new specially now with the cold weather,i cannot go back and take those foams out,,,,any suggestions please

 

suggest taking the radio our of the dash and fixing the rattle from the inside.
if you do a search, there are instructions on how to remove the stereo. you may as well remove the nav unit as well and insulate behind there as well.

not to mention typically your car will make more noise in the wniter due to the low temperatures.

 

are you sure the noise is from the nav unit? i have heard lots of noises from where the windshield meets the dashboard, tuck some foam there. should help.
