The transmission software update is TC009-07 according to my service statement. Had it installed today after asking about it. It was just issued yesterday according to the service department.

Interesting. The update done to my car was TC004-07. Do you know what changes are on the one your car received?

According to the Lambros link above the service bulletin TC004-07 is a transmission adjustment related to the brake hold feature and was issued in April. I should have asked for a print out of the supposedly newly issued TC009-07 but did not and have not yet found a copy of it. According to the service statement 009 involves "improved software" to address acceleration delay. Perhaps Lambros will be able to link a copy of it for further detail.

^^ That is true. I mentioned it today when I dropped my car for the wind noise fix. They will update the software again too, with the 009-07 which will solve the slight delay from a dead stop.

I called my local dealer today, and they said that TC009-07 entails receiving a "part" in order for them to perform the upgrade.

For those of you who've had it done:

1. Did they have to order a "part" before the upgrade to the transmission was performed?

2. Did it work?

Thanks

That "part" could be just a tool they need and they don't have. Or, it could be the update file itself (software) that they haven't received yet.

One of the "parts" needed is a new sticker that goes inside the engine hood, at the bottom right. It's an updated sticker with the software version installed in the ECU. A sticker is also a "part" ....

Just got back from the dealer....They said the software would not download to my car even though the VIN shows that it needed the update. They told me the software must already be up to date. Is there anyway to check this?

It's possible. With the scan tool they can tell you the software version. Or, you can hold the DISP button pressed while turning your parking lights on and off for about 3 or 4 times on accessory mode (engine off) and you'll see a screen where you probably can find the software versions. I'm not 100% sure if that info is there, but you can try.

It's a nice bunch of links, but it would be so nice if they were separated into categories like NV = Navigation, TC = Transmission, EL = Electric, etc...
