Have you noticed any difference in fuel economy? I'm going to have my car in on Tues...

Thanks,

Craig

I had the TC009-07 transmission fix done this morning. Since I was one of the first to complain to Lexus about this delay problem back in November, (and several times since then) I was very pleased to see that they finally had a fix. As you know, my understanding is that they had the torque converter disengaging whenever the car was stopped with the brake or put on Hold. When the foot was moved from the brake to the gas pedal the converter would engage again, however it was always slower than the foot so the foot started accelerating before the engagement and then there would be a slight surge forward........was like putting the car in gear after the gas pedal was stepped on. Well, I'm happy to say that the problem seems to be gone now. I noticed that someone in this thread said they stopped the converter from disengaging. I also heard instsead that they had just markedly decreased the length of time that it would take to engage before we had a chance to step on the pedal. In any case, whatever they did seemed to work. I haven't checked the gas mileage yet, but I don''t feel any unusual crawl when the brake is let up.

Next is the update to Grace Notes which is a free quarterly update. Problem is that I was the first in 8 months to ask for it and they had to order a part which they say cost them $3000. in order to install the updates.

Next the navigation lockout fix ........ I wish.

$3,000 for the Gracenote update...wow. Well you certainly paved the way for future LS 460 owner requests. I had a chance to test out the system with Gracenote, it's pretty neat.

I think it safer to get the 007 update. Imagine if you try to make a quick turn into oncoming traffic and you car fail to take off quick enough.
