Hi guys, what i have in mind is i would like to have Black Leather Trim with DARK GRAY BIRDS' EYE MAPLE ACCENT instead of regular brown wood trim. Do anybody know if Lexus allow you to special order this way?
Hi, I think it's very difficult if not impossible to get different wood/leather combinations. You might try to get one special ordered but the chance of getting it is very small if it is not listed on the Lexus.com website.

Not what i want to hear, but you're probably right. Hopefully 08' model will have more interior combination.

Yeah, Lexus has a ways to go with customization; I think the new head of Lexus USA mentioned that recently. I think that black with gray bird's eye maple would be a very interesting combination, and could complement well. However if Lexus history is any indication, the new wood trim combinations will happen with the mid-cycle refresh, which is what occurred with the LS 430.
At the time, the LS 430 gained some unique combinations, such as the Antique Walnut with black leather, which had the wood fade towards black at the edges to match; there were also rare saddle and bordeaux leather combinations.
Buy the car, and order the gray wood parts separately. Deep pockets solve a lot of problems.
Even if i can afford it, i wouldn't do it. Just thinking about removing the doors panel, steering wheel, and the dash console making me wants to take an Advil. And the chances of parts will rattle down the road are sure to happen.
Yeah, I'd kill for a saddle leather interior with a teak wood. Not going to happen, though. I can stroll into an Aston Martin Dealer, and order that without getting out of my seat. Lexus does have a lot to learn about customization.
Although I do like the saddle, I do hope "IF" they offer it in the future for the LS, they do a slightly different version which will appear less "orange" under the sun or bright lights.

I absolutely agree. Saddle leather is still my favorite car leather color (actually, I have a number of couches in that shade too, come to think of it). The right shade of it, with the right exterior color can be mesmerizing.
