Cloth is more comfortable when it is hot or cold outside, and you don't slide on it as much...it has better grip while cornering.

How about leather but the seats simply have more lateral support (adjustable of course) and the heating/cooling feature of the new GS and LS.
I live in Florida and it's HOT here... get tints and you wont have the hot seat problem anymore!

Cloth vs. leather
Well, Lexus dealers here stock cloth IS300's and cloth ES300's, and they both sell.... ( the cloth IS more than the cloth ES ) , though granted, not in huge numbers. I'm not alone either....I know a lot of people who don't like leather seats. In fact, in Germany both BMW and Mercedes sell more cloth than leather...they just don't import the cloth cars to the U. S. market.
Lots of Americans (like you) though, DO like leather....and it DOES have a nice smell, I'll admit.
