Red face Three of my current favorite features on the LS...

1. Manual shift where it should be, on the stick not on those silly peek-a-boo paddle shifters.

2. The automatic air filtration system. What a pleasure it is to sit behind a pollution spewing vehicle and not smell a thing. Seeing it cycle between outside and re-circulated air is neat as well.

3. The pregnant stares I get from 750i & S550 owners.

On the other hand, here are three not-so-favorite quirks:

1. Seat belt alarm. Three beeps is good enough, Lexus.

2. Small trunk & no trunk liner available yet. I like gardening, so that says it all.

3. Finding a wide enough parking spaces. Only Costco has gobs of them.

What are yours?

My wife can't pass a plant store, either. Until WeatherTech gets their act together, I got one of these..

36"x27"x1.8" - fits nicely, covers most of the center section of the trunk, holds 4 -6 flats, and has been waterproof so far. Do NOT get the carpeted one - holds on to the mud and water too much.

What I like:

1 - 19 speaker sound system

What I dislike:

1 - No switching from F to C and vice-versa.

2 - Sound system doesn't stay on after turning engine off. I always have to press the button again to enter accessory mode.

Thanks for the great idea, Bob.

Luxo, I don't know why they don't make F/C available south of the border. In Canada, we can select either system. As for the Audio, mine restores the settings that were active prior to turning the engine off. Have you tried the User1 customization screen? If that doesn't work, perhaps a software personalization switch may achieve this at your next visit to your Lexus dealer service dept. There's a whole range of settings that they have access to.

It's the epitomy of lazy, but I really like the "Hold" button on the steering wheel!

Ok, so on your LS-460 how precisely do you switch between C and F ? Maybe I'm missing something real simple here... Can you post a step-by-step? Or you have a switch there the we don't? Thanks!

My favorite feature of the LS is the guaranteed satisfaction and enjoyment of my passengers when they go along for the ride.

I can ask for a lot more in terms of performance and handling, but as a passenger, I really can't ask for a lot more...

OK, assuming you have the capability to change it in the US, and your LS is equipped with Navi, here's how it's done:

Go to your Setup screen. The first option at the top of the screen is, or should be the Unit of Measurement option. The two buttons there then are either "km or miles".

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I tried that before. It does change the MI to KM on the Nav but the temp stays in F.... as in..... you fill in the blank.

Edit: Are you saying that when you change yours to MILES your temp displays (dash and console) switch to F ?

No, I guess you're right. The KM/MI option on the Navi applies only to itself.

The console and the dash display are metric, regardless of the Navi, in Canada.

That is kind of dumb now that you brought it up.

I guess the controllers are mutually exclusive in this instance.

Sorry if I wasn't much help there.

I don't know if you know this but you can adjust the sensitivity of the auto filter. I can't remember exactly how but it is in the manual

Also, I had Lexus turn off my seatbelt alarm all together through the personalized settings. This may add to your enjoyment!

WeatherTech now has trunk mats for the LS460. Note that they do Not fit those cars with the "rear seat upgrade package".

I really like the auto-closing 'glide' designed into the center console armrest cover. Very futuristic and elegant.
