130.5 Mph

Does anyone know why Lexus limits the top speed to 130.5, the older LS's were limited to 154 MPH. ?

I got it to 110 without any sweat.

When the opportunity strikes, I will max it out.

Tires, Z Rated tires are rated to 149 MPH or less, and the configuration and everything backed off (for safety, which is one of the pushes in the vehicle) below the max rating of the tires. I am sure if you really want to figure out a way this is a programming issue, not a hardware issue. Of course, you will have to go to either the max rating of the tires or a higher rated tires, etc., which will change your ride quality for the increased speed.

I thought it had to do with a European convention, or something.

If the software were not set to 130 mph, the LS 460 could reach 170 mph.

I'm sure it is electronically limited (governed), not mechanically as stated above. It's just a matter of time before a workaround is revealed. And yes, the tires will need a look at. Patience Gents...
