IS 250C speed rating
Is a H speed rating adequate for my 2010 Lexus ISO250C? I just saw your website for the first time. I will join. Thank you.

H rated tires
Yes, since my last speeding ticket, I have had to stay below 130 mph. Here in Ontario, they tow your car away, which in really inconvenient. The Lexus dealer here did not like my H-rated tires, but all of the new tires available in the size that fits are Y or W rated, so it won't be an issue in the future. Thank you.

Honestly? I wouldn't go with anything less than Z rating on an IS250. I've already been close to 130 doing a WOT carbon blast. I had to slow down because I caught up to traffic. 130 rating is a bit scary. Imagine a tire throwing a tread at that speed or higher. Considering the inner tire wear issue with the ISX50, those low-speed rated tires will probably lose their integrity much faster that you expect.

Here is a list of the ratings. You decide what you want.
M - up to 81 mph (130 kph)
N - up to 87 mph (140 kph)
P - up to 93 mph (150 kph)
Q - up to 99 mph (160 kph)
R - up to 106 mph (170 kph)
S - up to 112 mph (180 kph)
T - up to 118 mph (190 kph)
U - up to 124 mph (200 kph)
H - up to 130 mph (210 kph)
V - up to 149 mph (240 kph)
Z - over 149 mph (240 kph)
The Z rating turned out to be too vague, and so two more ratings were added:
W - up to 168 mph (270 kph)
Y - up to 186 mph (300 kph)
In the case of the Y speed rating, if it appears inside parentheses this means that the top speed for the tire is in excess of 186 mph or 300 kph.
A IS250 can do 130mph? Mine has a hard enough time getting up to 80 mph, I can't imagine that thing getting up much over 100.

Y - up to 186 mph (300 kph)
