Hey guys, just a quick question. Which tires, in your opinion, are the best that come on the LS 460 stock? I know different tires have different comfort and noise ratings so I was just wondering which ones to go for. My dad and I were at the dealer today and they had two LS 460s, both sold, and both had different tire models. One had bridgestone's and the other dunlop Sport MAXX I think.

I'm asking because I heard with the GS tires make a big difference. My uncle who just bought a GS350 first test drove one and hated how loud and noisy it was. He was going to stop considering the car until I told him to try out another one but with different tires this time. Well he went out and did another test drive and bought the car right there because it was much quieter on the road than the other one.

So from your experiences, since I know some of you are driving with the cars already, which tires do you recommend and what are you impressions with the tires your cars have on them now (your cars meaning LS460s lol ). Thanx for all your help guys.

What are you trying to go for? Traction? Noise? Softness?

lol all the above? probably more on the comfort side since the car will be for my mom. So low noise and softness will probably be the best.

I had this tire on our VW Phaeton:

Michelin® Pilot Sport A/S 255/45R18

It improved every aspect of the vehicle dynamics; it was quieter, better handling, gave better turn in, and was far better in the wet. Costco sells these at a very attractive price as well...

Yeah I have those tires on my 20th AE GTI and I think they are some of the best tires out there.
