Does anyone know if the new LS rear view mirrors have a compass built-in. My GS had a compass readout in the mirror-but the LS at the dealer does not. Could it be, the compass mirrors are only for those LS without NAV? or is the mirror faulty?

 

i didn't recall seeing any compass in the 4 ls460 i looked at at the dealership

and btw, i thought all ls460 will have nav? i know it's an option, but from what i was told, no ls460 would come to the US without nav

 

Wouldn't be surprised at all if a new LS without nav is as rare as any Lexus without a sunroof or leather.

By the way, my lowly '06 Ford Explorer has nav but ALSO has a compass indicator in the 'information display' right between the speedo and tach.

 

actually, right now 10% of the ls460 build into the southern area is for the "base" model car equipped only with the comfort pkg and park assist (no nav). the production meeting is in las vegas next month to discuss changes to the build packages and ratios

 

umm interesting. maybe what i heard last time was for western regions huh

actually i thought on the 3gs, you get compass mirror even with nav? can someone confirms?
