Talking I'm on the list!

Woohoo....just put my $$ down to be placed on the wait list for the LS460L. I really wanted the 600hL, but honestly, it doesn't look like it will be here until mid-2007. Being 24, it could be that I am immature and impatient, but I just can't wait that long.

Very excited about this. Dealer told me first LS460Ls will arrive in early October. I am 6th on the list. EDIT: Apparently someone dropped out and now I am 5th on the list!

The only question I have...does ANYONE know if AWD will be an option on the LS460s or just the LS600? I am a skier and can no longer live without this option.

24 and wanting the new LS? And here I thought I was still too young to consider the LS

The LS460 does look great. But I'll admit, I'm a huge fan of the headlights on the LS600H. I only wish somehow the LS460 could get the LED headlamps.

2) the ls460l will come in 3 setup, with the highest setup being fully loaded, including the 4 seats option and all gadgets imaginable. the ls460l will have 5 seats options, my guess is that's the case for the lower two setups. not sure exactly what will be "missing" though, probably foot rest, entertainment, massagers, and center piece?

3)from what i heard, NO ls460 will come with awd. this was indeed quite surprising, though i didn't care much about (being in cali).

I' ve said that I won't be going for the LS600hL, but it's certainly very tempting, & the LED headlights are one of the reasons.
I don't really care for the improved gas mileage nor do I think I really need more than the ~380hp on the LS460 for a large luxury sedan like this, it's not like I would take a car like this to the drag strip LOL, but the LS600hL just seem a little nicer than the LS460L inside & out . . . hmmm . . .

Thanks for the info Arazzo.

I just won't be able to understand it if they don't put AWD as an option for the LS460. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Acura, and Volvo all have this option. It seems unacceptable to me for a car of this caliber to not have this option. Heck, even the GS, RX, LX and (from what I hear), the new ES have AWD options.

Anyone else also on the wait list?

No AWD for the BMW 7 series nor the ES350 . . .

I am just curious, but being 24 how can you afford to buy an LS? May I ask what field of work you are in? And congrats on the...disposable income. Or shall I say transportation budget?

Congratulations on being #6 on the list to purchase the new LS 460L. When you get it take lots of pictures and post for all to see as we wait patiently.

Hmmm...I thought I saw somewhere that the 7 series had AWD available. And with the ES, I wans't sure. However, I think my point is still valid. With a $70k+ car, you should be able to have every safety and security option at your disposal. AWD is in the category IMHO...

LOL...I always wanted to get a license plate that says "Not Dads". The first thing people think when they see me is:

A.) This guy is selling drugs
B.) He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth

Both couldn't be further from the truth. I grew up relatively poor in a single parent household and I have never even smoked Marajuana let alone sold it!! I'm an entrepreneur with two businesses - a computer consulting shop and a website development company. Additionally, I own some real estate. I opted to skip college and just start the businesses. I've been very blessed and never take it for granted.

I agree & wish they would offer AWD for the LS460, but you can go to bmwusa.com & look, there is no AWD available for the 7 series.
ES350 is FWD only, & with good winter tires, can be pretty good on snow already.

The silver spoon thought did cross my mind, but not the narco one! Anyhow, good to hear of your success. Hopefully the LS 460 L will be a very potent and fitting reward for your work.

Are you going to get a ski rack or just use the pass through? And does that mean you're going to trade in your LS 430? Just curious...lol.

I'll prob just use the ski pass through. In my case, I use shorter twin-tips (153cm) for park and pipe, so it's not like I have to worry about a 205cm poking me in the head while I am driving.
