Underbody Moulding
Good day all.

May I trouble someone to guide me in a direction pertaining to underbody moulding/ panels? 08 rwd swb base model.
1st concern is rear passenger side: I noticed 2 frontward facing pieces have either fallen off or never came with the vehicle. And it may be 3 pieces.
2nd concern is wanting to remove, clean out, and replace all under side pieces.
I live in a rust prone area, trying to reduce/save what I can.
Any and/or all feedback greatly appreciated.

Can one say one way or the other, is/are most of the under side covers more for aerodynamics and acoustics or more protection or a relatively fair mixture of both? I need to go remove everything when it warms up a bit n see what parties I am missing out on...
It would only be "bash plates" made of steel that would offer reliable protection against impact damage.
Plastic is more for aerodynamics/noise.
And also to stop water ingress to sensors/connectors/panel gaps.

Aerodynamics, that leads to better fuel economy. Automakers would not spend money if it did not result in some benefit to them. Protection, noise reduction, and other benefits are nice, but what drives this is fuel economy that helps them meet federal standards.
As President Trump has Nixed the Obama/Biden fuel economy mandates, this will be less important in the future.

Thank you. I feel like it could be 'rear seal'. Seems like something should be vertical, like the no. 6 protector holds it up. I just need to wait for it to warm up enough n go pull other side pieces and move on.
Again, thank you all for replies.
