Battery replacement
I have a 2009 LS460 that I bought 2 years ago. I have no idea when/if the battery has been replaced but this morning she was a dead stick. Push the button and nothing. I jumped it and it started right up. So I'm thinking I need a new battery. How difficult is it to replace the battery? I've only replaced batteries on Ford's.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Replacing the battery in the LS460 is fairly straightforward. The only thing that gave me trouble was the clamp in the front that attaches below the plastic battery box and to the horizontal bracket on the top that holds the battery in place. When I got the car this was loose, and it took a second to figure out how to put it back properly. You can't really see how it attaches by just looking at it.
The other issue I faced was which size battery to use. I got the car with a dead group 24F AGM battery, which was smaller than the battery tray. A quick search revealed that these cars can take batteries of two different sizes: Group 24F for warmer climates and Group 34 Standard for cold climates. I got an Interstate 34 Standard and it fit perfectly.

I have been sort of procrastinating replacing my battery. It still has enough to start the car, however it's not at its full potential anymore.
It is ~2-3 years old, and a reputable brand of battery. But I'm thinking it may have a a dead cell. The voltage drop is pretty big. When charging, it's as it should be (14.0-14.1V) but as soon as the engine is off, it's only around 12.2V based on the car's on board diagnostic computer and checking with a multimeter. After having the car "on" (engine off) for a few minutes it will drop below 12V, and that's before turning on lights, climate control or the audio system. But so long as I do not use features/accessories with the engine off it's fine. There's no parasitic draw in the system. My point is, it's been working fine lately for me but my LS 460's battery cannot support much accessory load for more than 15 minutes comfortably before it's almost too low to start the engine.
Has anyone else had this experience?

That was pretty much my experience when the Interstate battery died in one of my other cars, except that it happened at the 4-year mark. I highly recommend you replace it now before it leaves you stranded. Plus, if it's that young you might get some of the prorated warranty.
