LS 460 purchase
All of the great things about this car can lead to repair costs down the line, thats just one of the costs of having a car like this. I drove them new and I paid $1,000+ a month in lease payments for the pleasure, so its all relative. Just out some money aside for potential repairs and get the features you want. ML Amp doesn't cost much more than a regular amp.
Thanks Karen
Mark Levinson.
Without someone jumping in and spelling it out in full, this thread will never register in a search for that type of equipment.
Once again, members are forgetting that abbreviations do not necessarily work for search function success, as I have taken lots of trouble recently to make this fact aware.
Some still just don't get it.
Napamikey's anecdote is worth remembering.

Unfortunately, some Americans do not have a wider view of the world, unless someone with a wider perspective points things out to them.
It's quite insulting to think that I am trying to help the forum be more functional and useful, and I get criticism.
Shame on you both.

They do in Australia, or other countries not in the USA.

How have you helped him in this thread? You haven't at all and we have. Thats what the forum is for, so either give him some helpful advice or go harass somebody else.

Well he lives in Minnesota, so our advice pertains to him since he's the one asking for it. Save us the self important admonishment. Thats for your ego not to help anybody else. What ever would those of us who have been contributing to this forum for decades do if you hadn't come along last month!

Or not just for current members.
It is also for those who arrive later.
Again, I am trying to help, not hinder.
I can't help it if you are so selfish not to see what I am trying to do.
There was absolutely no need for you to chime in.
But you could not help yourself.
Thank god for you brother. You saved us! Your family must be very proud to have someone so dedicated to their mission of making a random Lexus forum they just joined more easily searchable.
Anyways to the OP, if you want the car get the car. There is not another car of this caliber you can buy that would be less potentially costly for you to maintain. The W222 S Class is actually a very reliable car believe it or not, but mine just a set of brakes done at an independent mechanic cost the same as what it cost to maintain my LS460L including replacing its brakes for 50,000 miles. Only thing I would avoid is the air suspension, the air suspension really elevates the car but its very costly as they get old. The rest of it I wouldn't worry about.

I do happen to be Global Moderator of a Mitsubishi forum.
And 40+ years in the car trade.
I believe I have a wider perspective of things than you do.
Because my father died when I was 17 before I got my first car I was unable to draw on any of his experience and knowledge to learn how to fix things which would have made my life a lot easier.
As a result, since then I have always tried to make life a bit easier for those who need help in this area.

Admin should be taking an interest in this, but it never acknowledges what I am trying to do.
I understand that I only have a small number of posts, but the fact is, what I am emphasising is correct.
Abbreviations and acronyms frequently do not register in a search until used the first time in a thread.
After that, it's OK not to spell out a term in full.
